Dr. Peter Pak practices consultative cardiology with emphasis on heart failure and cardiomyopathy.
After graduating from The Johns Hopkins University with Honors in Biology he earned his M.D. degree at Harvard Medical School. He completed an internal medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and a cardiology fellowship at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Pak joined Pacific Heart Institute after serving two years on the Cardiomyopathy and Cardiac Transplant Faculty at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. He is the author of many articles in highly respected, peer-reviewed cardiology journals.
Dr. Pak served as Director of Critical Care at Saint John's Health Center and currently serves on its Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
Having come from the east coast, Dr. Pak is glad to be living in sunny Southern California, where he can indulge in his favorite pastimes of hiking, birding, and photography throughout the year. He is a proud dad of an Eagle Scout and volunteers his time with Santa Monica's Boy Scout Troop 2.
